About
How to understand and prevent challenging behaviour in children and mind yourself as a parent/carer! This workshop is for parents, teachers and caregivers who want to feel confident in managing behavioural challenges of all kinds in infants, toddlers and children. The workshop is spread out over three sessions, each prerecorded video is about one hour in length. The first session will talk all about trying to understand your child and their behaviour; why they might be engaging in certain challenging behaviours in a given moment. Parenting programmes often talk about lots of different tools and strategies to use with your child, but unless you understand what is happening for your child and for yourself as the parent, it will be unclear what tool or strategy will work. The second session is about preventing challenging behaviour from occurring. Once you know why it is happening, then you can work to help them regulate and reduce the likelihood of challenging behaviour occurring. The last session is all about considering a response for the child when they do engage in challenging behaviour to ensure you can manage it appropriately and confidently! There is an option to join a chat forum with other parents if you wish to do so, see below. Otherwise you will remain anonymous and private during viewing of the programme.
